Right now is a tough time to be surf cinematographer, especially if you’re not based in a place like Hawaii or the Mentawais. With international travel out of the picture for the time being, surf photog Connor Trimble started digging through the hard drives to find some of his best shots from the last few years. Check out his sizzle reel from shooting big waves across the globe – capturing everything we love about being in the water.

From Trimble:
The story behind the Title: WATER in MOTION.... First off, I have a passion for capturing content in and around water. There's a beautiful, poetic way the light is reacting with the water and is constantly changing. You see this in my endless pursuit of finding just the right angle to capture a rainbow with the action. Second, my video editing style is to constantly have movement with each action or direction seamlessly leading into the next. To me, this keeps the viewer more engaged and is a challenge to do with the water, but I love this part of the puzzle in editing. Lastly, the ocean is never stagnant, it's always moving; hence water in motion.
