Professional snowboarder Jess Kimura’s life and career has been one of forging ahead with a go-for-broke mentality. After the tragic death of her partner at the height of her career, Kimura spiraled into a cycle of self-destruction, grief and despair – all compounded by head injuries and mental health struggles. Follow along with Kimura’s story in The North Face’s latest short film Learning to Drown. Fair warning: the film deals with heavy issues including suicide.
