We’re excited to debut the trailer for our latest film collaboration with Patagonia, Solving for Z. The short film profiles Teton-based IFMGA guide Zahan Billimoria, who's safely guided our athletes in the alpine. His insight and experience with the mountains immensely helped on projects like Higher, Way of Life, and Almost Ablaze. With this film, we explore Zahan’s backstory, with hopes of engaging in the broader conservation about risk and rewards in the mountains.
Join us at 5 PM PDT on Sun., Dec. 10 for the premiere with a live Q&A with Zahan and TGR on YouTube.
Film synopsis:
How much can we gain from the mountains? How much can we lose? Between our own perceptions and the reality of the hazards, how much space exists? And in that gap, how do knowledge, skills, and chance influence our fate? Solving for Z, a Patagonia Films and Teton Gravity Research collaboration, explores Teton-based IFMGA guide, skier, and father Zahan Billimoria’s relationship with risk, and finding both purpose and tragedy in the mountains.
