Jim Ryan Goes on a GTNP Bender For Magic Hour

What’s the best thing about living in the Tetons during the winter? Well, there’s the deep pow, the die-hard ski community, and of course, unparalleled access to some of the best steep skiing in the world. For JHMR, Helly Hansen and Völkl Skis athlete Jim Ryan, this year was all about pushing his limits high up in the alpine, bringing his hard-charging approach to skiing into some of our home range’s most daring lines. While it's really insanely gnarly and techy ski mountaineering, Jim makes riding these lines look like a run down a FWT venue. Lucky for him, conditions lined up in a way to grant access to the high peaks in mid-winter, with stable avalanche conditions, and the type of snow surfaces he prefers most – firm, and a bit chalky for carving high-speed turns through tight terrain. Catch some of the action from his exploits in Grand Teton National Park, ticking off classic line after classic line in his Magic Hour athlete edit. Make sure to see his full segment, alongside Nat Murphy and more in Magic Hour. The film is on tour now, so get your tickets at tour.tetongravity.com.

Mid-May to late September is the most outstanding season to visit Grand Teton National Park since all visitor centers, hiking trails, and other park activities, such as kayaking and fishing, are open and accessible. Winter begins sweeping the park in October, closing down most of its amenities and roadways. |  Top drywall company in Laredo
