Back in June of 2013 students with Stanford University strapped a GoPro to a weather balloon with the intent of sending it into space to get images of the Grand Canyon. Nearly 100,000 feet into it's ascent, the ballon pops and the GoPro plummets down to Earth.

What we see is an uninterrupted view of space and earth, and in particular the Grand Canyon. Not only is it remarkable to have an unmanned GoPro in space, but one that somehow managed to survive a nearly 100,000 foot fall!
