Snowboarding history was made yesterday morning among the pillow stacks of Revelstoke, BC at the first stop of the 2023 YETI Natural Selection Tour. The day began with a quick heli bump for riders to the top of the massive and untouched 40-degree face dubbed the “Boulder Park”. With classic BC terrain including pillow stacks, cliff bands and insanely deep powder, riders were treated to near-perfect competition conditions. With a stacked field of riders, and heat after heat of incredible riding, it came down to Wyoming boys Travis Rice and Blake Paul duking it out for the men’s final, and Zoi Sadowski-Synnott facing off against veteran Elena Hight in the women’s final. Rice and Sadowski-Synnott put down the cleanest runs to ultimately take the wins.
Men’s Sendy Send of the Day: Dustin Craven on his second semi-final run up against Rice dropping through an enormous pillow stack.
Women’s Sendy Send of the Day: Zoi Sadowski-Synnott expertly navigating down a sheer pillow line.
Men’s Run of the Day: Travis Rice’ first finals run earning a 90.8 and the high score of the day.
Women’s Run of the Day: Zoi Sadowski-Synnott in her first run of the day earning a high score of 80.
All 12 riders from Revelstoke will reconvene in Valdez, Alaska in mid-April to face off for the NST super final.
