Ian McIntosh - The Evolution Continues - LPP#200

Ian McIntosh at the Low Pressure Podcast Studios

Ian Macintosh was here for Episode 1, Episode 100 and is now here for Episode 200! As many of you know he was an influential part of why the LPP exists today so we're honoured to welcome him back.

Over the course of our three conversations, you get a unique look at the evolution of Ian as as person and as an athlete. He's gone from a base jumping daredevil to a family man with two beautiful daughters.

Ian is at the tail end of his pro skiing career and discusses how important it is to have a plan for the future. He has been transitioning to become a guide and has recently received his CSGA Level guide certificate. (Canadian Ski Guide Association) We also discuss his point of view on Nick McNutt's Avalanche and subsequent transceiver debacle. He was there and talks about to rescuing his good friend.

Outside of skiing Mac wants to spend time with his young family and give them worldly experiences, which is why they've bought a sailboat. His dream is to sail the world with his girls and expose them to as many adventures and cultures possible.

We also chat about his home and garden, his continuing climate activism and much, much more. It's always good talk when Ian is here.
