Legendary climber Alex Honnold is starring in the upcoming horror-thriller The Sound, a (goofy) film that blends high-stakes alpine adventure with psychological suspense. Honnold plays himself.

According to IMDb, The Sound follows a group of climbers attempting a bold ascent of a long-forbidden wall. What starts as an ambitious mission quickly turns into a survival nightmare as they face an unseen force “that toys with them.”

While Honnold is no stranger to the screen—his Oscar-winning documentary Free Solo made him a household name—The Sound marks a rare move into scripted storytelling for the world’s most famous free-soloist.
