In recent years, more and more one hundred-plus foot waterfalls are being run. Aniol Serassoles and Edward Muggridge made history with their descent of 100-foot Ram Falls. Dane Jackson, no stranger to waterfalls, claimed a first descent of 134-foot Salto Maule in Chile. Knox Hammack became the second person to successfully run the 189-foot Palouse falls after Tyler Bradt did the same several years before. The list of massive waterfalls being run by kayakers continues to grow. But what do all of these descents have in common? You guessed it- they were all done by men. So, when French ex-slalom kayaker and all around badass Nouria Newman ran Pucuno falls in Ecuador this week, she made history of her own. Not only did Nouria snag the first ever descent of Pucuno, but she also became the first woman to ever run a hundred-plus foot waterfall. Nouria has been pushing the barriers of the sport for years now. She's gotten tons of first descents all over the world, soloed some of the gnarliest whitewater on the planet, and been the only woman to qualify for finals at the North Fork Championship. This descent just adds to Nouria's credentials as one of the best paddlers in the world.

I’ve always wondered how it feels to free fall from falls. I attempted several times but I always get cold feet before the jump lol. Still, I someday wish to try it. Septic Pumping

Hi I’m from Africa so there aren’t many mountain sports opportunities. The best we’ve got is hiking but it can’t compare to what you guys do.
