After developing the TGR Optics program over the past few years, TGR is proud to announce our updated 2023 TGR Optics roster with some big new names sporting TGR goggles and sunglasses in the mountains, water, and on the trail. The 2023 roster includes young up-and-coming stars such as Teton-based big mountain skier Kai Jones, Canadian FWT skier and Freeride Junior World Champion Marcus Goguen, and Hawaii-based big wave surfer Maddix Alotis, while also featuring other phenomenal athletes such as skier Amy Jane David, big wave surfer Twiggy Baker, and more.

The full 2023 list includes: Griffin Post, Kai Jones, Amy David, Nick Clark, Grant Baker, Marcus Goguen, Wei Tien Ho, Maddix Alotis, Tami Razinger, Ryan Hudson, Dakota Ray, Tucker Carr, Luke Gentry and the ever-growing U18 Grom Squad with names like Rylee Watson and more. The two upcoming winners of the 2023 TGR Grom Contest will also join the Optics Squad.

Marcus Goguen:

I am super excited to start this adventure with TGR, I've always loved watching TGR films, so it’s a dream come true to be able to be part of the production and the TGR Optics team.

Marcus jumped onto the pro-level Freeride World Tour with a bang this year after taking home the Junior World Champion title earlier this year. His runs in Andorra and Kicking Horse had our jaws on the floor.

Rylee Watson:

Longtime TGR Optics athletes like Griffin Post have helped the design team develop new products this year based on testing and feedback from numerous expeditions and film shoots over the past few years. “We live our lives behind the lens, so we wanted to set the standard with TGR Optics. Carl Zeiss knows how important vision and optics are to what we do, so it was an easy decision to work with Zeiss on our polarized lens technology,” said TGR co-founder Todd Jones. “The Italians know lenses and sunglasses better than anyone, so we were incredibly stoked to partner with one of the most reputable and sustainable factories in the world. Quality and sustainability are core values of TGR, so we couldn't be more stoked to release these into the wild and see the world through our lens."
