My cat eats Fancy Feast Turkey & Gravy for wet food and Purina Indoor Cat Formula for dry food. After he eats the turkey, he gets all wound up and runs laps around the house like a crazed mountain lion.
Cats, mostly.
At least I assume so, since it says "cat food" on the can.
Filler, Pork by-products and rat-poison.
Mmmmm
Here Kitty kitty...
I have a Bengal Cat that is mostly wild. He likes meat and nothing but meat. I buy cheap 50% off steaks and cuts at the grocery store. He growls when he eats em!
Cats need high protein.
"When you take an individual that is genetically programmed to consume high protein and low carbohydrates, and you put them on a high carbohydrate diet, what happens is their insulin resistance works against them," she said. "Their blood glucose concentrations are too high ... they can't overcome that, and they start to release more and more insulin in an attempt to reduce blood glucose levels." This doesn't work, however, and the cat eventually develops type 2 diabetes mellitus. The cat gets amyloid deposition in the pancreas, exhaustion of the pancreatic cells, and glucose toxicity from consumption of large amounts of carbohydrates.

/\/\ true to a point. Mostly just don't let your cats get fat. As for the all meat diet, very bad idea. If you want to feed a mix of fresh mice, lizards and birds, then I might agree, but that is not an all meat diet.
If you think it smells bad in the bag try working close to a place that manufactures it on a hot day. I work in the field alot and one of the locations is close to a Purina factory. I was literally gagging. Think of how great the food smells when its cooking.![]()
we have a Bengal too....saved her from the Sacramento pound, where someone had dropped her and her brother off in the middle of the night.![]()
Amazing cats! Where did you get yours?
Taj is now 7 or 8 and has a problem biting/scratching at her skin till it bleeds, so now she gets to wear a cone. Unfortunate, but we care for her (my wife especially) nonetheless.
But that wet cat food smell......i've got to suppress the gag reflex upon opening a new can.

My Bengal "Bones" was supposed to be a show cat. He's stunning. Has papers from Bishop Bengals: http://www.karenskritters.com/
He got passed around to a couple guardians because he is more jungle cat than domestic. He does not like strangers, is easily spooked, and prefers to keep to himself. He's a great pet for me because he's happy spending time alone. He stops by to let me pet him a couple times a day..
My kitty gets soft food as a treat (he totally knows when mommy is opening a can of the special "soft food'), otherwise he gets really expensive hard food.
His name is Swix (DUH)...I am drunk right now.
Here is a picture of my lion king....

Fancy Feast smells like death. My cats split 1/2 can a night, and they go insane if I forget. They also get Purina One (I think?) throughout the day. One of my cats (pic #1) used to be an outdoor cat and killed lots of birds and rabbits. Now that I keep her indoors, she tends to be a little overweight. My other cat (pic #2) is just a little guy, and he tends to be underweight. Lately I think they've stabilized, though. I guess it's worth getting more expensive food.
A good dry food would be fine to add balance to the diet. I would not feed raw meat. There is a big fad right now about raw diets, but it is a good source of some nasty bugs for your cat and you. Salmonellosis is no fun (think about your worse case of the runs, times ten)
