my dog has quite a few, maybe 5? but she is almost 15 and it is very common in older dogs. and that is exactly what my vet said, keep an eye on them and if they get to be a problem or grow fast they will biopsy and/or remove them. she has had them for i guess about the last 5 yrs and they havent gotten much bigger.
maybe find out what it costs for a biopsy. shouldnt be a whole lot, few hundred bucks maybe. that way you can weigh the costs against the benefit. most likely your only benefit would be peace of mind for you since you are concerned.
