In search of... packable, insulated rain jacket for travel

OK gear nerds. I'm searching for a jacket with the following specs. Primary use is travel, around town.
    waterproof or highly resistant
    light to moderate insulation
reasonably packable for travel. Doesn't need to go down to tennis ball size but can be stuffed in a carryon backpack
    hooded
    dark, single color
dont care about breathability, no vents etc
slim, euro fit preferred but I can usually get by sizing down for a regular fit.

Kind of like a BD belay jacket, with a little less insulation, better water resistance, and maybe slimmer fit haha

    Does this unicorn exist?

Not sure if it exists but I’d go with a real rain jacket shell and a sweater or nano air type jacket. You’ll get a lot more versatility.

That's what I would do. Combine a Patagonia nanopuff and a Houdini raincoat.

What's happened to this place, mags talking mags out of new gear haha. thanks for the responses, yes agreed a rain shell + insulation is more versatile. I'm after a single combo jacket for travel, one less thing to forget, lose.

    +[emoji637] for two coat solution.

Goretex paclite - although shit as activewear - is perfect IMO as citywear / travelwear - the fact that it’s not as breathable as the other membranes, makes it punch above its weight in warmth…

I usually hate 3-1 jackets, but marmot makes the “component” jacket which might be a good option here. Used to be a Paclite membrane (think they switched to another in the current version) with a removable light insulation layer.

If you want full capability shell materials from a technical outerwear brand that might be one of the better options.

I've had a couple of insulated goretx they have been great for skiing at the hill cuz only 1 layer to deal with

BUT they are TOO warm except for the winter season and you can't get rid of the insulation

whereas I've used a technical 3 layer arcterxy Beta for hiking/ skiing/ as a paddling jacket for sea kayaking
