Options to post pics etc no longer shows up

Image hosting was not intentionally broken but it's tied into the various issues from the server update. The IT guys are working to restore it.

Yes, they ARE externally hosted. Though I have a hard time parsing the logic of the query.

If one does a "reply with quote", one can see that the image is actually hosted at tapatalk and linked in with img tags.

I'm sure they're working on it. The new server system software probably has a different interface than the old system software the forum stuff rests on. Imagine stripping out a houses foundation and trying to go through to fix all the plumbing and electrical connections.

what I meant was, did you upload a photo from your device directly to TGR, or was the photo externally hosted somewhere else and just linked here. I didn't know photos were hosted on Tapatalk so that answers my question, thanks.

Tapatalk is a shim between your device and the TGR forums. So if one uses tapatalk, an upload goes to their server and posting commands to tgr forums get tweezed accordingly.

Well shit…we had a week of the quote and pic / video buttons appearing in the reply box (with no ability to post unhosted pics of course) BUT as of today literally all buttons are gone except Font and Size.

So functionality is moving backwards?

I was able to post a pic via Tapatalk but that app is such a pile of shit it’s not worth the effort. I’ll await iPhone app redemption. Not having the date issue. But my adhd makes me time blind so maybe it’s there and I’m not seeing it!
