I‘ve had various experiences flying the Avi pack to North America. Canada never used to be an issue even with the cartridge. Once we stopped a KLM plane departing and then managed to bring cartridge with us under the condition the pilot would have it during flight. So just stopped taking the pack as I don’t want to ski anywhere where I neey to pull it in the first place. But like you say without the cartridge most likely not an issue

I have two extra tickets to the DBT tonight at the Mangy Moose if anyone is interested. Can probably make you a deal. Two friends couldn’t make it.

degrees of separation....
Kokomas was my neighbor when he had a place in VT.
I met Brock at a Chick-fil-a to do a gear swap handoff south of Boston.
Full zirkel.

I strolled up to the hill about quarter till and started talking to a friend. Over his shoulder, a ways up, I see a big grin. It's Brock smiling at me.
We get first laps all over first thing, maybe some of the days best and smoothest. Very few peeps for about an hour but then incoming junkshow forced me and lindenle out.
Tag up with Kokomas for the midday turns.
Had a great time skiing with L82thegate from the PNdub the past coupla days. Old school soul skier with a 40 year history in Jh.
And a turn smoother than most.
T'was a pleasure Z., ski ya next time.

Targhee skied pretty well today I thought. Things started out kind of scratchy underneath the couple inches that fell last night, but by the end of the day I wasn’t hearing/feeling it much. So it either filled in or became more supportive throughout the day. Maybe both.
Targhee early tomorrow morning is seeming like the W move. Kind of bummed to be back at the vill tomorrow, ha.
Rough day for someone
Anyone have a backstory on this photo?

Heading up next week in our camper staying in a friend's driveway in Driggs for a few days and hoping to ski Ghee and the pass, maybe Jackson if it dumps. Buying lift tix and skinning for our turns. Keeping an eye on conditions.
How's backcountry avalanche conditions round those parts looking so far this season?

Almost a week of warm temps, even some rain mostly defused the Jan 4 PWL, but it's still surprising people. Burly crust and refrozen chunder got covered by yesterday's new snow, starting to not feel the crust up high, but there's a touch of wind slab.
People have been great about posting obs to the forecast platform, plus it's supposed to snow all week. Roads are slick today- figure out how to ride the Targhee bus from town or 5th street for easy access.

There’s two sets of older tracks skier’s left off the fresh tracks in that pic. How often does that get skied?
