2022 specialized Stumpjumper for sale S3

    All

Built this for my wife, she road it 3 times and the geometry just won’t work. She’s had hip dysplasia surgery and the steeper seat tube angle puts her hips in a position that doesn’t work. So I put the new parts on her ripley LS and the old ones on the new frame.

Specialized Stumpjumper S3 frame. Ridden 3x
Fox factory 34 fork, serviced last fall
    Xx1 170mm cranks
Xt 1x12 drivetrain. Some scratches from laying bike down on rt side
    Chinese carbon wheels, 28 spokes
    Ardent race rear
    Nobby nic 2.6 front
Formula cura 4 brakes 3 rides
    180 rotors
Ritchey carbon bar (kinda narrow how she likes them)
    PNW dropper 3 rides

Frames are currently for sale for $1800…. Stumpjumper pro a $6200 is closest complete bike?

Am I on crack to want $3000? I’ll ship at your cost but prefer not too. I’m in Park City

Really hard to tell what color that is. Is it like a rootbeer/red?

Decals or paint on the wheels? Gotta get all that white stuff and white saddle off there and it would look dope. Fuck I kinda need this bike.

It is a good looking steed, I think it will look even better once I swap the fork for an all-black Mezzer and get ride of the Shimano rotors. The Galfer waves are a lot radder looking...

Oh that's not the bike detrusor was saying, got this one last fall from g_man80. I figured I'd post the pic since it matches what you were suggesting in terms of looks, ie no white parts.
Looks even better now with a piggyback shock, and actually rides quite well after complicated not so fun honeymoon...

Glad to hear you had the patience to get it sorted. What shock did you go with? If I recall, the upper frame design limits choices quite a bit.

Yeah the frame brace really limits shock options and only a few piggy back shocks work. Mara Pro was out, I think the choice was an Ohlins shock or a RockShox. I found one of the newer SuperDeluxe Ult in 190x45, it fits with about 0.5 mm to spare all around! Screwing the shock pump on the valve requires infinite patience (or pliers), and adjusting rebound isn't easy at all. It really changed the bike though, with the DPS I had to chose between mid-stroke support and bottoming out, now I can have both (well, not bottoming out that is). I also had to adjust my riding and expectations but I'm really liking the bike, it shines on fast poppy trails and deals with most chunder pretty well. I still have minor gripes with the Pike, specifically its inability to deal with slow square hits (it tends to blow through its travel and dive in a terrifying manner), but those are usually avoidable. I don't know that I'd ride everything I've taken the Occam on but pretty close.
