I ordered 191’s on Corbett’s Black Friday deal and at 6ft 180lbs I think I’m going to for -5.5CM from center, inline with my Moment Wildcats.

The blister review was good but for mount point info they were all over the place haha.

Given that this will be my small pow day/chop ski I’m going to take the extra length upfront for stability and plow-ability.

Curious to hear how things are working out for others so far. Western Canada is bone dry right now so these probably won’t be slowed for another month or so…..unless we get a few monster storms soon (finger crossed)

Yeah. Found a cheap pair in Canuckistan at the end of the season and decided I’d try them again. Going to mount -2 to 3-cm and see how that works out.

I just grabbed a discount pair from Canada too. Stoked to try them.

    1) Vario.2 toes + ATK/DPS FR14 heels w/ Freeride spacers mounted 2cm behind factory rec
    2) Castified P15s mounted 2cm behind factory rec
    3) FKS180 mounted on the line

and yeah, I kinda stumbled my way into getting ahold of several pairs fairly affordably - hence the experiment

Is the experiment to see how much money you can waste!?!? 3 pairs of the same ski!?!?

PS. Let me know how the p15’s ski mounted back 2CM. I’m still agonizing on where to mount mine!!

Kid is the king of the used ski market in Norway, I’m sure he knows what he is doing.

Also -2 is for sure the way to go unless you’re landing switch.

this made me laugh out loud

The original plan was to get two pairs (I've been wanting to try the same ski - or ideally the same shape in different layups), but then somebody gave me a deal that was too good to opt out of for the third pair - so decided to try them on the line as well, aka a catch&release program to gain some additional insight #forscience.

I am expecting the -2 pairs to be the right setup for me, but you never know eh

    So, for science!

what didn’t you like about these? I thought I read somewhere you thought carbon ruined the feel or something like that? And maybe hooky/turny?

Definitely the -2cm Cast setup will be the winning combo there!

Remeasured my 184cm Sender Free 110 and my rec mount bump is at -3.25cm and the mount ended up -3cm back from there. Still plus 0.5cm in front of my old 21 CT 3.0, so should be perfect for my 175lbs as my tight trees ski.
I’d still probably go at least -2.5cm back on the 191cm Sender Free 110 like I am on the Blackops 118.

Hope to get out on my Sender Free 110 pair this week and maybe my new lighter set of Blackops 118 too. Excited to try them out!

Got a few hours my 184cm Sender Free 110 the past few days in some mixed conditions and about 4-6” of fresh to start the next day.
I’m 6’2”/175 and have mine mounted -3cm from rec/-6.25cm total back. They are replacing the very similar spec 184cm 21 CT 3.0 for me and hoped they would be a bit better in variable conditions but keeping their great carving ability.

Their softer tip/tail and added rubber make them absorb crud/mixed conditions better but still have a similar feel. Don’t have the mass of the Blackops 118 but definitely have a similar “loose when flat yet precise on edge” quality. I’m sure the 191cm Sender Free 110 would start to get closer to the suspension and feel of the BO 118.

Find the -3cm mount perfect for my size for a ski that will be used on Spring Days and in tight trees. Have the 190cm 21 CT 3.0 for more open areas already or I’d be ordering the 191cm Sender Free 110 for that purpose. I’d probably go -2cm from Rec for my size on that length.

Appreciate the feedback on mount point. Not in a hurry to mount my 191’s given no snow, but optimistic that the -2/-3 will work.

After skiing them a bunch more since I posted earlier in this thread (I've got about 50 days on them now), still super happy about mounting them on the rec line and not going back. Even with me tending to prefer directional skis these days, the rec line really brings to life what this ski is all about, to be a jibby charging big mtn ski. I feel as though so many people are thinking too much about the "sender" name and wanting it to be like the other senders when it really isn't at all. I tried going back on mount point on one of our shop demos and it just had the tail feel too washy for my liking. Most of those who designed this ski also ski it at the recommended line.

Again, I do come from a more freestyle background and my ski style is a very playful manner even when charging so I can still see why others might like it mounted back. I would like to try mounting it back on a 191 to lessen the amount of tail, so I might try that soon.

Also keep on the lookout as the sender free line is expanding to 3 total skis next year...

Appreciate you taking the time to share your insights after so many days. You have me thinking about mounting demos so I can play with mount points. Also, what size/length are you on?

About the sender free line expanding, that’s encouraging. I thought the flat tail really held back the original Sender skis. More skis like the 110 could provide an interesting counter to the Nordica Enforcer “Free” line. In other words, they have the 110 covered, now make. 102-104 and you’ll sell a bunch more.

Cool vid! Funny the evolution of skiing technique. The new school drifty hockey slash turn. Try that on your fathers old Heads!

Yeah what’s happening? Early rumours at our shop is BO 118 and 98 are limited release only and sender free 110 is staying and then a 102 sender soul. I would have thought they would have just made the BO Skis part of the sender free line.

Blackops 118 becomes the Sender Free 118 next year with the same dimensions but 50gr lighter so maybe Air Tip(and metal underfoot added back in) to the new version I'm assuming? Sender Free110 like graphics too.Still only 176cm and 186cm lengths.

Sender Soul 102 added with similar dimensions to the Blackops 98 but 4mm wider except the 188cm length which is 104mm underfoot. 180cm length at
2100gr and 2200gr for the 188cm. Think this should have some potential!

Sender Soul 92 only 1600gr in its longest length of 184cm so of no interest to most on here.
