How is the sizing on these? I’m 36-37 and xl seems right. Are they pretty warm?

I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

How well do these work? Any of you have used them, have you tried any other compression tights? Looking at something to help after recovering from ACL surgery.

I’m usually a medium in most pants and about a 33” waist. The Medium was way too tight for me. Ordered a large which seem about right (still tight since it’s compression pants) but haven’t worn the large’s on the hill yet, so can’t speak to warmth yet. Just looking at them, it seems like the knees and hips will be quite warm with all the neoprene.

I have a pair of these in size L I'm 34 waist with athletic legs. They are tight but work. Very thick and warm. I unfortunately found the bracing is uncomfortable for snowboarding so only used them once. Not my thread but I guess PM me if you might want to buy them?

Those that are using these... do you just have knee pain or are you supporting an old injury or surgery?

I'm trying to figure out just how "brace" like these are?

i started wearing a pair this season on the recommendation of a coworker. IMO, they provide slightly higher level of knee "support" compared to an inexpensive knee compression sleeve/brace and they stay in place. It's a neoprene material at the knee, vertically along the IT band, and along the gluteus medius and tail bone. The rest of the non-insulated version is a very lightweight compression material. the waist and cuffs at the legs have a silicon-like bead material to keep them in place. I have to hike up the cuff a little bit on the 3/4 length to get the cuff out of my ski boots. I also wear them running. I have minimal experience with compression clothes, but it seems like they provide good compression - they are a bit of a challenge for me to take on and off. They are very comfortable for me. I wear a medium. My pants waist is 30-31" and my calves are not huge. If I had big calves, I do not think a 3/4 medium would work-out at the cuff.

For skiing, i wear warmer long underwear over my non-insulated bracelayer. currently, i wear a donjoy max support kneebrace (alu stays) on one knee over the top of the my long underwear and bracelayer. i expect to generally always wear a bracelayer or knee compression sleeve while skiing.

I'm 36-37 too and XL fits me perfect. I have pretty big calves and they kind of cut into my calves by the end of the day, but not so bad that it bugs me skiing. They are warm enough IMO to wear alone as a base layer - I wear these under a (very lightly) insulated shell and am fine on even the coldest days.

I think they work well, the neoprene is relatively thick, stays in place, and provides pretty decent support. As good or better as any stand-alone neoprene knee brace. I think they allow better blood flow to the area and help my knees to warm up faster. I used to wear the CW-X compression tights, these are wayy better IMO.

For me, its just pain - no surgeries - and I feel like both of my knees are not in the greatest shape after 4 decades of abuse.

    Cool, thanks.

I decided to try some so I ordered a pair.

My knee bothers me more XC skiing (no brace) then downhill (with the brace), so it will mostly be for that, but I might try it under my brace for downhill as well to see how that goes.
