Hestra heli vs leather gore tex short

    Hi there-
Tried a friend's leather heli glove recently and loved it. But I'm more interested in a short cut that i can tuck under my shell. How does the Hestra leather gore tex short glove compare to the heli? The leather heli gets a lot more reviews and I'm looking for a direct comparison. Thanks.

i like extended cuffs that got over the sleeve, shortcuffs on a glove are like shingling a roof with the layers going the rong way to deflect the snow/water

So when the water runs down your sleeve, it goes into your gloves?
Do you also tuck your pants into your boots?

I've skied with both gaunlet ad short cuff gloves. I prefer the short cuff style and cinch the wrist velcro on my shell over the gloves. Keeps me warmer and never got wet inside.

heli is a bit warmer, both have similar hand feel, short cuffs are fine unless always in powder or rain

I don't ski in the rain, is that a whistler thing in any case all the gloves with an extended cuff i have ever seen or used have elastic around the openning to keep rian/snow out

I was riding with a bro who taped that joint between his pants and his boots said it worked awesume

we rode hard and and then we smoked some dope

Buy short cuff gloves. My favorite are the Army Leather Tundra. I love the removable wool liner that I can drop a hand warmer in between it and the leather over glove.

Then add the waterproof over-mitt, with the gauntlet, on wet days.

As of yesterday I can confirm that unless you have time to draw the cuff of the heli's tight beforehand, snow driven by rotor wash will go straight into the cuff. A little like having it blown up you skirt. Conversely, kept my hands plenty warm, even with highs around 10F - no extra warmers needed.
