is the saffron 7 the same as soul 7 but in pink? can i just cover it with some tape? is there something like a fake wood sticker? or just leave it pink!

IIRC it is the same as the Sin 7 (98mm). Pink colors and I believe a more forward mounting point.

Not sure on the construction on that model but some were the same. There’s a thread where someone put carbon looking vinyl over the tops.

Pretty sure SIn and Saffron were the same in '16. Poplar cores, 178 Saffron and 180 Sin shared same exact dimensions for sidecut (128-98-118). Def no differences like metal vs. no-metal.

The vinyl topsheet experiment you speak of was when Evo was selling Star7s cheap. Same generation, Stars were the same as the equivalent Men's ski, so I imagine this holds true throughout the line.

My SO wants to do some small tours with me this spring. She's working hard on bumps and ungroomed terrain this year, but not a super aggressive skier. Thinking 175s are a pretty good looking CO ski.

I snagged 2 pair. I got them for literally the same thing- SO a splitboarder, and an ok skier, but I am tired of waiting for those long transitions. The effective edge on the Cascade is tiny- lotsa rocker, and the ski is a veritable noodle- very soft flex. The weight is objective, so obviously lightweight. Thinking this will be an excellent non-aggro touring ski.

I got a pair for myself too as this is my dream very early season grass ski. So there's that too.

I still have those Stella 106's if you're interested. Sounds like they may be a little beefier than you are looking for, but I'll let them go cheap.
