    FS: 1992 Northstar TC600 Pop-up Camper

    1992 Northstar TC600

6' 8" length (Designed to fit in a smaller import or domestic pickup, such as a Toyota Tacoma or Ford Ranger. Will fit on a full size truck too.)

    It features:

    Double Bed
    3 Way Dometic Fridge
    3 Burner Gas stove
    Atwood Gas Furnance
    Under bed Storage
    Small Dinette Table

We bought it early this summer and got to work fixing it up.

    Since buying it I have:
Bought a brand new dual density foam mattress (which was $300 and is really comfortable.)
Resealed the roof and seams (it didn't show signs of any leaking but I wanted to be sure.)
Had the propane system and appliances pressure tested. Replaced all old fittings. (No leaking propane is a good thing.)
Installed a new sink and plumbing for the water tank.
Insulated the entire underside of the camper and filled all voids with great stuff foam. Much less drafty now.
Insulated propane lines for cold weather use with r10 pipe wrap.
    New Curtains.
If you have a full-size truck you can have the platform I made to make it sit above the bed rails.

This thing is sweet because it's relatively lightweight and very stable in the bed of the truck, allowing you to drive all kinds of cool places with it. We did several "Overland" type trips with it this summer and never once did I feel the camper was holding us back when on rough roads or mild jeep trails.

After a summer of fun, Mrs. LWS and I have decided we'd like to get a larger hardside camper for ski area usage, while the camper stays warm in below freezing temperatures, its a bit small for 2 people with winter gear, etc. But for 1 person in the winter or 2 in the summer it's great.

$2200 obo and I will take paypal if you want to use a credit card or something. It's located near Leavenworth, WA and is being kept dry under a carport.

Sorry to bombard w questions but very interested!

    Thanks

I haven't weighed it but based on the spec sheet for the model I'd guess somewhere around between 800-1000lbs. Dry/wet. It's not very heavy.

My truck is a 3/4 ton and the weight of the camper is barely noticeable. I haven't bothered with any helper springs or airbags. If I had a Tacoma or something I'd think about that but for a fullsize anything I don't think it's needed.

I need to take some interior pics, I hope to post some this afternoon. It's in really good shape and very clean inside.

Depends on the year and condition of the springs. But I would think an f150 would be fine without bags or springs if you can tolerate a slight amount of sagging.

Bump with some interior pics. Forgot to mention in the description, went through and switched it over to all LED lights inside.

You should come buy it... I'm not in a huge hurry to sell. I could wait a month or so.

Do you still have your camper? Did you end up upgrading to a hard shell?
