How does the Ignitelite line compare to Patty’s Nano Puff? Equal?

Never pay full price. Wait for the sales.

By doing so, you will get incredible value for the gear. I have EB touring pants, shell jacket, BC ski pack, fleece hoodie, and lightweight puffy.

Very legit gear and best value in my opinion (sales only)! And you don't feel like a Patagucci fool when wearing it.

This is a synthetic ingitelite. I don’t like that it wore here but I used it a good bit. Primaloft gold IIRC. Good stuff.

I can’t compare to patagucci but it is damn warm for how light and packable it is.. I think EB says 40f with low activity is comfortable I’d probably agree.

I reckon they’ll replace it under warranty. I’ve been really happy with it.

I also have a EBFA fleece vest and the nylon thing on the bottom is coming loose so they’ll have to replace that too. I like the vest except for that.

PSA: Eddie Bauer is having a sale for 50% off on up to three items. This includes First Ascent which is usually excluded from the biggest sales except maybe once a year for Black Friday.

Gracias. Time to grab some pants

If anyone needs a light sleeping bag, FA's Flying Squirrel looks sweet: 40F, 1lb 7oz, 850 down, $175. We've had Sea to Summit Traveller Tr1's for 8 years now. They're 50F and 1lb 1oz, but either way this is the way to go for hut trips, summer backpacking and travel.

Half that. The discount shows up in the cart.

I’d be buying freshline bib and jacket if the colors weren’t ass this year.

Guide Pro Alpine Stretch Pants ordered for under $100 shipped.

I have an earlier generation of these as ski touring pants that work well for me. Thanks for the PSA!

Ha - I was looking and asked my kids if I could pull off that antique bronze color - one said looks like “diarrhea”, the other said “moldy mustard”….. so a definite maybe [emoji848]

Are Eddie Bauer waist and inseam measurements pretty standard compared to carhartts?

When you’re in the site on some pants you want click the “What’s My Size” tool. It allows you to pick Carhart as a comparison and helps

Check out the Freefuse one. I have a regular style microtherm, but wanted one with a hood and got that in the freefuse. It’s really nice.

Yup. Just bought that one. I like the different baffle shape and looks nice. It’s the Stretch Down version.

I have the old MicroTherm and it’s my daily jacket for most PNW winter days.

Thank you, now they are serious contenders. I got a lot out of my last EB bibs. They are well-worn but still mostly okay, except for the shredded gaiters. The only significant wear is from the airbag pleasure strap, which wore out the stitching that holds the pockets together. When I started looking at other options last night, I found the Rab Khroma bibs, which seem to have a fabric that suits my touring better. However, the arrangement of the Freshline pockets is perfect for me. I'm off to the bibs thread.

Antique bronze should hide chilly stains... works for me.

I haven't bought much in their Winter, line, but based on some of their Summer / 3 season stuff (and purchase of one shell), I'd definitely take another chance.

My one complaint is that it's hard to get a sense of temperature range in their jackets. The soft shell that I picked up was much lighter than I expected.

They are returnable of course. I found it a use for that shell, so I kept it.

So warmth-wise would you say it's equal to a Patagonia down sweater coat?

I’ve never worn one to compare. Looking at pictures I’d say similar or a little less warm.

Anyone used the sandstone shield jacket? I need a new do it all/touring softshell with a hood so I'm gonna give it a shot. Hoping the hood will fit decent over a helmet.
