    Air popper for me.

Current favorite flavor is coconut oil, salt, nutritional yeast.

Furikake is also good on the pop.

When I lived in the dorms, someone put popcorn in a microwaved for 10min to set off the fire alarm, then went room by room and stole people’s shit.

Artisanal popcorn. Great. One more thing this forum has made me feel inferior and inadequate about, after sourdough, pizza, espresso. And skiing of course.

Air poppers? Thought those dies with the 90's. Stove top is surprisingly good, not sure why it isn't more popular.

    Stovetop for the win.

Season the oil for more variety. Olive oil pepper and salt is a classic.
Or Drizzle a bit of garlic oil in the regular oil.
    Or some chili oil.
    Options are endless.

Seasoning the oil is way lazier than buttering or seasoning afterwards.

    Another old school stovetopper here.

While the olive oil heats.. I grind up the desired flavor of the day in a mortar/pestle. Lately the family favorite has been kosher salt, fresh ground black pepper, some dried rosemary, some dulce smoked paprika. grind that up into a powder. The finer the powder, the better it adheres to the freshly popped corn. When popcorn is done, pour it in a paper grocery bag, sprinkle with half the seasoning, shake. sprinkle with the remaining seasoning (or to taste). voila. go crazy experimenting with different spice combos.

    I use this stuff: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B081DM3CYV

    3tbs coconut oil
    1/3 cup kernals
1 heaping teaspoon of the flavor powder.

Melt the oil in a pot, throw in a kernel or 3. When one pops, take it off the heat, toss in the seasoning and the kernels. Swirl it around for a bit, then on the heat, cover and shake until it stops popping. The flavoring is salty enough on its own. You could add extra butter flavoring at the end if you wish, but I like it just as is. Shit is addicting.

I have a "Stir Crazy" for when I really have a craving for good popcorn. Kind of a pain to clean though.

I have all three and I don't even like popcorn that much.
The Whirly Pop I bought off Sweet Maria's to roast coffee beans and when that didn't work out I bought an Air popper to roast the beans. I bought the Stir Crazy drunk one night off Amazon nostalgic for early 1980's movie night. As a kid I thought the butter melting disposal at the top was peak engineering.

Agree with all the stove toppers. looks like we all follow a similar method.

    Sauce pot with a lid.

3T oil on medium to medium high heat. Put 3 kernels in and wait for them all to pop. Add 1/3 cup of kernels. Remove from heat for 30 seconds. Back on heat until popping stops.

    Easy and always good.

Stove top with coconut oil or bacon grease. Easy and delicious and requires stuff I already have and don’t have to find a new spot for in the overflowing cabinets.
Remind me. We'll send him a red cap and a Speedo.
