12-18 in Liberty, just plowed down the right side over my knees lol. Did not expect that. Good foot in Bavaria. Damn
Maybe I will make my way over there tonight and work from the camper. Sounds too good!
Bavaria and Dakota were stupid good this morning.
Good skiing on Slushman’s today, if you could avoid the hidden stumps and shark attacks. Saw many victims.
I’d say a solid 6-8 inches in most spots up high (conditions report was no snow overnight).
Bridger will certainly benefit from this much needed refill session.
Everyone on the lifts are talking about Friday and Saturday, so it will be interesting to see the chaos that accompanies this storm.
FKNA it was.
Last tram lap I was going to watch the Chuganese but saw Chris "Mr. Smooth" at the top and he was headed out the gate to Randy's, claiming he'd just done one of the best runs of his life out there. Since the line is named after our beloved bunion, I decided to tag along and check it out. Holy deepness. Pretty much as good as I've ever skied at Big Sky. Great way to end a great day.
I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.

Word
I am attempting to be there early tomorrow despite not landing at BZN until like 1230am. Looks like today was legit!
I want to be swimmy!
BB forecast looks messy. Might have to watch from the sidelines.
Taken from the "Powderchasers" website regarding the up coming storm:
"The models are a bit at odds with each other on exactly how much snow will fall, with some disturbing yet exciting ranges. From Thursday afternoon through Saturday night it will be snowing moderately too heavily in most of Montana. Big Sky, Bridger Bowl, and Montana Snowbowl are all in line to see very big totals. Expect 18-30 inches during this time period. We would not be surprised to see upper mountain totals approaching three feet if everything lines up perfectly. A combination of cold temperatures, decent pacific moisture, and support from these waves of energy are the ingredients needed to keep this storm going for a few days. The heaviest snow for all these areas will likely fall during the day time hours on Friday, but moderate snow will be falling Thursday night, Friday night, and Saturday morning as well. Friday and Saturday look like great days to be skiing and riding. Expect 5-10" Thursday night, 6-12" during the day Friday, and another 5-10" Friday night. The rest of Montana will do well too, including Showdown, Discovery, Red Lodge, and Teton Pass, where generally 10-20" should pile up by the time this storm ends."
Ye-hah and giddy-up! Time to layer up and get out there!
Reminds me of a couple years back where a few hundred people (including myself) spent 3+ hours waiting for Bridger chair to open. If this delivers, I'd be surprised if that doesn't happen again and would guess Schlasmans is shut until Sat or Sunday. (not that I'm trying to be negative - it's so great to see the snow coming back)

" I think about it everyday. It is my reminder to live life to the fullest. I get up early, go to bed late, 'cuz I got shit to do. Like I said, I'm 61. Not going to wait till I'm 81 to do stuff, ...
Get out there and do stuff!
Enjoy life to the fullest!!
See you on the slopes! "
Grabbed first bucket this morning. Tough viz and I kind of skied it like shit. But the top of Liberty was deep.
A buddy of mine’s son is in Bozeman for school and his girlfriend is scheduled to fly in about noontime Friday. Dad is thinking about contingents if things go nuclear and asked me to hit you guys up.
What are your expert opinions about her making it in then? Is there even a shot with this storm? I’ve never flown in there, only have driven.
TIA!
Gallatin Filed has gotten a lot bigger and better at managing weather events. And usually these hyped storms are the kind that fizzle while the sleeper days of yesterday continue to delight.
Hows that?

For your sakes I hope nothing fizzles!
Do appreciate the insight, thanks Bunion.
Camping out tonight and skiing tomorrow at BS. Hit me up if you see me, I don't know the mountain well. Bright blue flylow jacket, dark blue pants with moments.
