Binding Placement on Atomic Blog Skis

I just bought a new pair of Atomic Blog skis and would like to get some opinions on binding placement for and aft.
I measured to find the Center of the running surface (CRS) and I have found it to be behind the center of the ski that is marked on the ski.
I usually mount with the ball of the foot (BOF) at The CRS.
Since the skis have rocker tips and tales I wonder if there is should be other considerations.
I don't ski switch and it seems the marking on the skis are more for switch skiing.

No switch- back line for sure.

That where mine are, and they feel plenty short.

I don't think you can go back much more, because there is
    no tail.

I would listen to SuperGaper (IWLTS)

I haven't mounted them there yet, but I'm planning on the furthest back line or +1cm forward of the back line.

If you're not going to be skiing switch at all, definitely don't go with the forward most line. I mounted mine 1 cm. back from that line and while it's great there, I can dive the tips if I get a little too forward on them. If I had it to do over again I'd probably go another cm back which I think would put it half way between the front and back lines. With no switch skiing, the back line would probably be fine and keep the tips on top of the snow better.

Are you going to use the center of the boot line or ball of the foot?

I used center of boot on back line, as I mentioned earlier, they still feel pretty short, but in my opinion
you can't go back any further because of rise in the tail.

    I have a pretty small boot, 295mm.

Similar to SuperGaper, 305mm center of boot. Thinking +1 of the back line, think that might measure out to -5 from center....

I demo'd them last year and was pretty center mounted. I like them that way, but as I almost never ski switch i'm going to push 'em back a bit. I still like a bit of tail and am planning on using these as daily drivers, hence pushing it forward +1 from the furthest line.

You on the right track with the crs and the ball of your foot. But you are right about the rocker throwing it off. On rockered skis I find the centre of the effective edge and put the ball of my foot on that.

OK, I read everyone's thoughts from last season and would like an update on mounting my bindings on the Atomic Blog. The thought of mounting demo bindings is a great idea but instead, I bought the Atomic Tracker 16 binding. So, demo trial and error technique of finding my preference won't happen. I don't ski switch and I'm using these skis primarily in VT. I want to be able to ski in the trees and have the full 19 meter turning radius. I am hoping to have the rocker tip keeping me above the debris that I strike when they are covered in boot top powder. I also expect float when Jay Peak gets their 54 inch dumps. So, where do you suggest the 185 cm mount should be?

I went ahead and followed SuperGaper's suggestion of placing the COB on the most rear mark and agree totally. With technical attention to skiing using tip pressure on piste trails, I found the ski responding extremely well with the bindings set so that the most rear mark is line up with Center of Boot (COB). The skis respond similarly to typical non-rocker skis. So, once powder is encountered I am positive I have the exact placement when the rocker will come alive. AS a non-switch skier who ranks backcountry skiing as priority, glades as second, resort trails as third and terrain park/halfpipe as the least important, then use the back line on the ski to line up with COB. Many thanks Super Gaper!!
