Chair 9 Pizza - Glacier WA?

I was in Glacier last weekend and saw a building under construction with a sign stating "Chair 9 Wood-Fire Pizza opening Spring 2010". Anyone know anything about this, and/or who's behind it?

I haven't been up there but I know Gary Graham bought the lodge from the Glacier Creek Lodge and was planning on moving it to a piece of property had had down the road , he was planning on opening it as something (I forget what it was).

Kelly Jo, I believe. Although it might be the Pete Cook one. Haven't talked to either one of them lately sober, nor have I been up there lately, so I don't know which one is kicking off. Is it downtown or in the Chando lot?

If its the Chando one, that's the weekend warrior/my wife & family are rich/I'm a contractor "for a living" but I've only built my own (ware)house and really don't have to work crew. Good guys to go out drinking with though.

Nice to have another option up 'yonder.

Let's hope it's not too douchy or $$$. And that they have good deals on good beer.

But the North Fork's awful gooood...just wish it was a hair-bit further up towards the hills.

Yeah, that's it. The building is 100% framed now, and about half of the sheathing was on when I saw it.

I found the liquor license application online, and it is Pete Cook. Is that this^^^^ guy? I was hoping it was going to be someone who knew wtf they were doing, but I guess not.

Gave one of the framer laborers a ride hitchhiking the other day. He claimed was going to be the cook after it opened...

Being senile probably sucks a lot worse than the pizza west of the Mississippi.

Love the North Fork, almost got married there. Location works better for me, but I'm in town.

The choice thing is good though. That's why I was curious if Chair 9 is being opened by someone who could do it right.

I'm sad I bailed out of Glacier before there was more than one bar (but not really). Anyhow, I think it'll come down to who's actually "running" it as to whether it turns out good or not. And "good" is a relative state of sobriety, considering the history behind the location. Don't get me wrong, if they get a liquor (as in hard? Or just beer?) license it'll probably go off because otherwise you have to go to Kelly Jo's in MF to get served hard shit, but it could really easily turn into a Graham's if its just beer.

I'm claiming it gets fined/shut down closing weekend for underage drinking this winter (but not burned down, yet). It'd only be proper.

    Looks like it's the full-meal-deal...

Chair 9 LLC; Cook, William Kirby; Cook, Connie Kay; Cook, William Peter; Cook, Danielle have applied to sell spirits/beer/wine in a restaurant lounge at 10459 Mt. Baker Highway, Glacier, WA 98244. Filed on Sept. 18.

    Yeah, wouldn't surprise me.

Whatya know, the whole Cook clan. Hah. There's going to be so many DUI's out of there. At least now people in the Rim/Snowater/Snowline can stumble home a lot easier.

and I thought they were all applying to be the cook.

Liquor would have suited me fine when I arrived after thirty miles of riding in the rain.. and I never drink liquor. What a let down.
I heard about the suspicions of some guy burning his place down there and liquor licenses being pulled...so naturally I asked,
"what, he got all liquored up"?

Bravo for another alternative since the Chando. Hopefully they will have good bands and a pool table or two...

A heartfelt "Good luck!" to Pete and crew. I'm sure I'll be a frequent customer.
