I just ripped the ass out of my slacks at work

I actually rip the crotch out on my work pants all the time.

BUT, that's because I'm wearing a harness or kneepads that restrict the 'give' the pants have, so if I move around...

I realize there's no way to make this sound normal/non-perverse, but I have to wear a harness for when I get in the de-icer bucket, and I wear kneepads when I'm stacking luggage in the cargo pits since I can't really stand up and I'm trying not to destroy my lower back.

So do you do more shipping or receiving?

If you don't say "slacks" how do you differentiate between jeans, khakis and dress pants? I think "slacks" sounds better than "dress pants". Should men wear any clothes that have the word "dress" in it? Just seems wrong.

I always keep a tie in my office for unexpected "look nice" meetings, but perhaps I should store an extra pair of pants and a shirt as well...

Given the choice between "slacks" and "trousers" You better go with "slacks". I'd just stick with the generic - "pants".

fyi, in much of the English speaking world "Pants" = underwear.
