MOROCCO
 
TGR went to Morocco in February 2006. This was one of those epic trips where everything really came together. We experienced the African medina culture in Marrakesh, scored great snow at the ski resort of Oukaimeden, then went to a sick surf break near the town of Essaouira. The crew at Ksour Voyages did a great job of getting us where we needed. Contact Mohamed Takhchi who is the owner at this site and ask for the trip that the crazy American ski movie makers took. CORSICA
 
TGR made a stop on the Mediterranean island of Corsica in the winter of '06. Corsica is part of France but really has a feeling of a separate country. The skiing/boarding is not really the experience you would find here in the US, no mega-resorts just huge mountains. The best stuff is accessed by skinning and climbing. There are 2 ski areas; Ghisoni and Val d' Ese. They are tiny but give access to the mountains beyond. The coastal life is sick too. Its a choice Mediterranean vibe with Corsican food and fun. We tried surfing one day but the waves were all over the place. Great seafood though!
