Post Maggot photo contest voting thread

Great submissions everyone. I honestly hate picking 5, but here goes.

    1. North Fork Encampment River. HikeforTurns

    2. Father-in-law. Focus

    3. Goats. XtrPickels

    4. Night Funnel. MakersTeleMark

    5. Arctic ocean afternoon. Wendigo

Thanks everyone for your submissions. I really do feel like an ass picking 5.

Poll will close Wednesday so we hopefully can have a new contest for the weekend!

I had trouble with that as well. In the end I felt #1 had a bit too much "black" in the frame for my taste. Both however I feel did an excellent job of conveying the theme of the contest.

All good photos, but picked #3 over #1. I'm a sucker for good backlit photos. I love the simplicity of the composition and that the subjects seem to be looking right at me. Well captured.

That starling shot was pretty nice. I was wondering if thats how the lighting was or if that was processing. Either way, it was pretty unique

    Bump since voting ends tomorrow.

I wonder if the posting of the voting threads should be announced in the main forum. Some people rarely leave there and may not see it here. This could increase the voting which dropped off from the first contest. Just a thought.

Good idea. I think many don't even realize this sub-forum even exists as it's new and buried at the bottom.

That was a tough call between the North Fork and the Goats.
