Kellie, remember when I walked out of the yurt and saw you peeing while standing up....?
I think you know where I'm going with this.

Awesome pictures and an awesome accomplishment! Looks like the weather was absolutely as good as it gets on Denali. You definitely have my great admiration for taking that mountain down. Nice!

From Dav's website:
"Lastly for this season I will spend three weeks in June on Denali in alaska, trying to ski some new lines up there with a strong team, including Clark Fyans of Girdwoon, AK, Adma Clark of Salt Lake City, and Nick DeVore of Aspen. I am really looking forward to this expedition to one of the world's great mountains"

Davenport's writeup does a great job of expressing the stoke level for a great trip - I was lucky enough to hook up with them to ski the Orient and Messner, but had to leave before any of the north summit lines were skied . . . such a bummer, but I can't complain for a minute - my trip was incredible! That group of skiers blew my mind in so many ways - their passion for skiing was incredible, as was their inclusiveness. I felt that group could have easily been the "rock stars" in the big tent that were there to be radder than anyone else, but instead they were the most inviting, friendly, open, and genuine group of folks I've met in a long time - this made the trip for me as much as any summit or ski descent. The caliber of folks in the group was impressive.
After that and the Powell trip, I was on cloud nine - my buddy reminded me this is still Alaska and I'd get my ass handed to me at some point, which I did in some ways last week - it's interesting how this state can elevate you to levels of bliss before unknown (Denali), and then remind you that it's still 100% in charge . . . humbling indeedEverything in moderation, including moderation . . .
