Reverend's Annual Winter Blessing
Freaky reminded me that it's been a while since I delivered a worthy sermon.
Behold, breathern, for our time is once again upon us! Tis the season when feathers fall from angels' wings, blanketing our rock and stone cathedrals in a devine shade of white and delivering on to us, the Faithful, our vehicle devinitus upon which we celebrate the gift of life. For he who must occasionally expell snow from his lungs doth truly understand the Gift and Love that doth plummet from the wings of the dead and the vistas of heaven. And let us celebrate the lives of those who haveth passed on into the peaks above ours, for they doth make ready an eternal chest-deep blower day that awaits the Faithful. May those with Latte stains on their mittens learn to understand both the holy trinity of snow, sunshine and mountains as well as the irrelevance of the backseat DVD player and heated driveway. For he with worn leather gloves and older fat boards grins widest upon the land only because he truly understandeth that which is showered up us. Be kind to thy brothers and sisters and let them reap first turns before yee, for admiring the joy will surely compound thy own. And rest easy knowing that thy own deep turns will most definitely be bestowed upon thee, for she who grants love receives love ten-fold. Positivity is a catalyst, my friends, which only stands to better the masses and cause Ullr to smile upon his Faithful. Blessed be my brothers and sisters who will spend their existence within the Search for they are the ones who eternal fluff and joy will find.
Amen.Last edited by The Reverend Floater; 02-20-2004 at 02:40 PM.

I kneel at your alter and whisper sincere thanks.
A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects.

Casimiro couldn't have preached it better, neither now nor when he was at the helm.
Thanks for the inspiration Rev. Preach on Preacher Man."In the woods, we return to reason and faith. There I feel that nothing can befall me in life, — no disgrace, no calamity, (leaving me my eyes,) which nature cannot repair." -Emerson
