    Moment Skis - Reno/Ruby/Comi

    Boing!

Just got my Moment Comi's...stoked on being stoked.

Caught up with Casey's dad today at Kirkwood and we set up a photoshoot

    Reno - 180cm - 85mm underfoot ...not sure on the final specs/release
    Ruby - 188cm (140-110-129)
    Comi - 186cm (160-136-145)

Reno @180cm/Ruby @188cm/Comi @186cm (from left to right)...

Check out those base graphics...base graphics - the hotness.

Speaking of graphics...The Ruby (god this sounds like a killer ski)

I'm in love with my Comi bases!

I do agree those skis look like da bomb.

Now introduce some rocker in the commie and you'll have something special!

Hmmm... If I can find a way to get those Rubis to go with my to-be-mounted-tonight Praxis, my All-Tahoe quiver of two will be complete , and considering Monster 103s kicked my ass over the weekend that might be just the way to go.

Ughh, and I thought I was done buying/selling skis for the winter

Liked 'em, but they were alot of work. Thinking I might remount forward a bit before I give up on them or start doing some wallsits or something. Can't really justify adding another pair of skis when I only get about 20 days a year and those Rubies look sick!

nah, just ski faster and turn less, itll be fine

seriously though, mounted on the line they have some huge shovels moving them accross the fall line for "shorter" turns.

Meh....I'll wait for the Mao or Castro. The hammer and sickle is so 80's...

I was eagerly waiting for these all last season after I saw Casey's sister on them at Mammoth. The Ruby's look SWEET. Great graphics.

Camber - I will have to measure when I get back to Taho but they have traditional ski camber...no reverse.

Flex - Feels very similar to my extra stiff Kingswoods...even at 30mm wider

You must have a very large garage!

Are the tips on the comi pretty soft? Also interested in hearing a comparison between the comi and KW megas.

Flex of the Rubies pretty similar...

As far as the flex on the Comis, I'll give it another go when I get them mounted...hopefully this weekend.

Bump...'cuz the Comis are bad-ass. I spewed about this in my TR, but I'll spew here too...solid ski, can lay down a carve on anything from hardpack to (soft) moguls to pow....one of the most fun skis I've ever been on, with shocking versatility for the size. I now hate 666 for letting me try them, because I can't afford a pair....
