    Cool Photo TR: Bluebird + Pow = $$$$ 11.30.06

Ever wonder what you get when you mix 20"+ of pow with -20 degree temps, some elevation, a little dry air, and a sick day from work? After a long and dreadful 2 week long drought, Colorado finally got a delivery of the goods and the delivery was grande. Over 3' dropped in some places amongst cold temperatures and a slow moving air mass.

Great beginning to a great day:

Crew getting ready in the sub zero temps:

The snow warmed up a bit later on. Can you tell?:

Ha. I don't like competition. And you have a freak who buys expensive remote control video helicopters and skis in a sumo outfit on your team!! No fair . We'll see. If plans come together I'm sure we'll whip you good ....

Thanks! I guess working at an art school is rubbing off on my non-artistic mind.

I'm shooting with an Olympus E-500. Great DSLR for us non-pro folk. Has just about everything that I want and need.

What is the approx slope angle where that release started...looks a bit steeper above it, but right at the point, looks quite mellow.

Aspect is key with the stability right now. N-NW aspects were almost twice as deep and sensitive as all other aspects. Couldn't believe the difference. Three slides in the area today. All were remotely triggered, but didn't travel very far. The snow is very cold and not bonding very well.
