Eider Defender?

Just ordered a jacket from Eider. It's made of 'Ultra Breathable Stretch Defender'. I've searched and can't find much about it, on these forums at least. Anyone know how it compares with Goretex XCR?

(Gordy maybe? The jacket is a "Makla")

bump because i just got a jacket with defender (wave) and i'm curious as well.

I've got a lot of days on my Eider stuff and would say that defender is pretty sweet stuff. Breathes well, totally waterproof, still beads up after a year of abuse. Honestly, I can't really tell the difference between my Eider clothes with XCR and my Eider stuff with Defender.

gb, thanks for the response, the 3L on the wave feels and looks great, your post makes me feel good about the purchase. which products in particular have you used/liked?
also, any place/way to order some pants? US online retailers dont exist - is there a direct order?
