Oktoberfest in August: Snowbird Style
Anybody going to go on Opening Day (this Saturday)? I can't wait to eat some apfel struedel, haxe; drink bier...and then ride the zip line!
YUMMMMMI!!!
This also sounds very cool!:
Stargazer [Aug 25, 2006]
Cottonwood Room, Snowbird Center, Level 2
8 p.m.
$15/adults
$10/12 & under.
Go on a journey with Snowbird and local astronomer, John Baranca, as we learn about the skies. John will give a short slide presentation and then we will all take a Tram ride to 11,000' Hidden Peak. John and his co-workers will show you the skies through high-powered telescopes. No reservations are taken. Pay at the door. $15/adults. Dress warm (yes, maybe even a hat).Last edited by schindlerpiste; 08-22-2006 at 07:57 AM.

The food hasn't been very good the last couple of years, though nothing says "I participated" like a plastic Snowbird Octoberfest beer mug to take home.

It's worth coming up just to see the GIANT construction area around the base of the new Peruvian lift.
