    Changing Salomon Din calibration Windows

Just thought i'd put this up to up to help others.

It can help you if you have a set of knackered binders that you want to use the springs to beef up another set of bindings.

This will work for 997/997/s900/s916/s920 binders as they all have the same type of DIN wondows.

    Toe Piece:

    1. Get a sharp tough knife or a very small bladed flathead screw driver and carefully pry the window off as below.

do the same on the other side to release the window fully.

    Heel Piece:

This is more difficult. the arrowed bit is what holds the window in but its almost impoossible to get to from above without possibly damaging the window.

...Its best to attack it from below.. Unscrew it completely and remove the spring

You can see the din window from below here. I have arrowed the bit that has to be released.

Take a long flatheaded screwdriver, put your hand on top of the din window so it doesn't fly off across the room as you may lose the little spring that is part of the din window mechanism. Apply some pressure upwards and back towards you as shown below and the window should pop out easily...

..et voila .... you can now change the springs between your binders with ease ...
