The new NIN album is amazing. If you liked their (his) past stuff, check it out...

I think its kind of "meh". Couple good songs, otherwise kind of disappointing.

Interesting. I think it's much better than The Fragile. Overall the beats are outstanding. To each his own I guess...

At first, I really wasn't feeling it...

...but then as you listen to it for the 14th time, it has a really nice flow from track 1 to to the end.

Its not as grimey as a NIN album probably should be, but I think its production level is very high and it shows.

So far I like With Teeth, I still need to give it a few more listens. I thought the Fragile was great, it was not as intense as the Downward Spiral, Reznor seemed to exlpore his sound on the Fragile. But based on my initial listen, he has produced another great album. I think that Grohl was on drums for some of the songs.

Yup, Grohl was playing on a few tracks, hence the great beats. I really liked The Fragile as well, but I find With Teeth is a little harder. I've loved all his albums and this one did not disappoint.

The Fragile was an album you had to listen to straight through. With Teeth is much more single friendly. I like it.

With the occasional CD review here, wondering if anyone would be interested in starting some CD trading?

I've got about 1400 CDs and several spindles of blank CDRs...

    I've got about 4,000 mp3's I'd be willing to list & trade.

After numerous listens of With Teeth I agree with that, there are some great songs/singles on With Teeth, I even think the radio friendly single The Hand That Feeds is rocking.

I've been thinking about this to, I've got about 4700 songs on my Ipod that came from my 400+ cd collection. I would like to get my hands on some more Dead, WP and Phish shows. I'd be willing to get involved in some trading.

I'm "meh" as well on the album as a whole, but I will say that "right where it belongs" is off the freaking hook. Incredible lyrics. Reminds me of when I was a kid and people would say NIN/Reznor was evil and at that time I guess I agreed, but loved the music. Now I hear the lyrics and I don't think he's even remotely evil. Just offering another perspective, a smart one. The song seems more inspirational than anything, but I think back to the same people that said his previous works were evil and I know they'd see this one the same way.

In that case, check out Alec Empire's latest albums...he even looks sort of like Trent but he's German and fuckin' rad.
