BROs were blessed at the Grand St Bernard Hospice

not that I am a religious one (actually it's the opposite ) but the opportunity was really tempty... so I selected the Gr St Bernard for my first AT with the BROs, and they got a sort of blessing at the hospice. It used to be a jove temple much before becoming a xstian church, so it should be OK also for the pagans here in the forum

and, YES, BROs totally kickass as AT skis. The lightest I ever had

    Thumbs up

That does look like a sweet set up! Finally they were able to make those freerides in nice looking colours. Even matching those BRO's. Congrats!

Nice pic, bro! I know the place very well. Glad you made the hike.

Did you go around the lake and look down into Italy? I was wondering how the descent lines were. Last trip they were all burnt up. Scorched. Often you get great Spring-like conditions on the sunny Ital-side after climbing up the CH-side through the "arctic shadows".
when not on the snow what else do i do...

hi LITT, there was much more snow on the CH side (and there should be even more after the last dumping), but the italian side was windy-crispy but feasible up to st Remy.

    this was CH side

    this was Italian side

as far as I can understand, no more than 10-15 pow fell on the italian side thereafter.

    V61.
Thanks for the pictures and snow report. From the angle of your photo of the CH side of the Gd-St-B did you use the "ski-tunnel" to descend into the "valle de la mort"? The angle looks too high to be taken from the skin track up & down.

Everything at SSB is open. I think by now the Italy side should be nicely filled in. I will file a report on my next skin-up.

Its Oppdal in the middle of Norway...

We had half a meter snow overnight and through that day, so we could ski all the way down town.

please tell me more about the BROs. I am in need of a new A/T setup, looking for a quiver of one for Sierras primarily. Any compares to say a Jak, a Reverend, a Pistol? I like what I read about the weight....

I am frigging clueless... what the fark is a BRO? Have a company Website? Sorry, I feel like the dude who was asking what a Kneissel Tanker is....

I can offer you a comparison of soft BROs and Jaks.
soft BROs are much more lighter, faster, a bit more stiffer (particularly in the tail) and a bit more demanding. They ask you to be a slightly better skier, but they also help you to become a much better skier. If you need an AT oriented setup, no doubt BROs are better than jaks
