He got that tee so tall through hours and hours of stretching it outside the lodge.

hmmm... not to take away from the work those rail sliders do, but somehow the 2 million self hiked vertical feet that Greg Hill just ripped off makes the accomplishments of the boy band segment of the sport seem a bit trivial

He is a better skiier than I am.

Logic would dictate that since I used to be the best, and he is now the best... He deserves this award.

    Greg Hill is better though.

I'll never understand this board's endless hate for the guy. He fucking kills it, he's better at what he does than anyone on TGR, and he fucking kills it. Sure, he might be a little weird, but he's actually a pretty cool dude who wouldn't think about saying what some of you say about him.

Uh, yah, I'm gonna have to go and disagree with you on that. Aqua, other guys with alias's, people are rippin. TGR has a strong crew, like have you seen light the wick. So, um yah, I'm going to need to move you down to storage room B.....
I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

Thanks BCSAR and POWMOW Ski Patrol for rescues

It's not about hate, I would say it's more like "don't give a fuck about".

Meh, I am going to go with TW. Not to take away from the work those mountain climbers do, but somehow actually being an elite skiier rather than someone who turned skiing into an goal based endurance test (even Forest Gump did it for the love of the run, not to clock miles) seems to fit the title "skier of the year" better.

Seriously though, the Magazine is called "Freeskier" not "Back Country Skier". What did expect? A more holistic approach, which would be perhaps better suit the general title of "skier of the year", would award neither.

I ride park, unlike you Old ass fucks in here. But on the same note, I could care less. He does kill it though, but not as hard as bobby brown. I guess the point is, there are so many good park rats its hard differentiate between Tom Waaaalsich and some buttfuck from the east coast.(Tom is from the east coast). I don't ski park that often because I'm past the prime age of 16 to do so, but I do respect the rats on the west coast, because those kids will be me and then you and then older than old. East coast park rats, "ignant" are as fuck.

Tom Wallisch earns title as most marketable skier of the year. how much is TNF paying him now?

Gonna derail this a bit more...

so being a freeskier means hitting rails and jumps then. good to know.

good analysis. keep counting your days. what's your goal?

No goal, just counting to count, I guess. Not expecting any kudos for it nor do I see it any measure of skiing prowess. Anyway, I suppose the winky smiley isn't enough to tip off that I was being facetious. Sorry for being too subtle.

"Freeskiing", by the way the magazine that awarded the title defines it, does have a heavy emphasis on jumps and rails.
