TR: The Finnish Horde kidnaps innocent Norwegian!

Night touring in Northern Norway, May 16 2009.

The night before the day of the Norwegian Constitution, a night where I´d usually be useless drunk and obnoxious, Ville convinced* me to come with his Finnish Ski Bum Brethren (FSBB) with the ambition of reaching some peak in Gratangen, which is somewhere in between of Narvik and Tromsø.

(*Ville didn´t really have to convince me. It was pure fucking joy going touring with these guys, and I was almost a bit eager to get out myself.. )

Eventually, we found this one to be adequate for our super-extreme-gnar asses. Anu and Antti gets ready in the foreground.

Before the final bootpack, half of the FSBB decided to just hang out at the base of the ridge, no shame in that. Snowshoes in deep rotten corn/slush are definitely more of a workout than skinning is. Katja, Ville and I continued.

It was really nice evening/night tour with you Arild. Arild pretty much told what happened, so I just add my pics.

No skiing pics after this, but snow varied from boot deep slush to boot deep slush with hard crusty layer on it.

We released Arild at this point, he told us that we probably wont get any ransoms for him. Because we're nice kidnappers, we drove him home, instead of letting him walk 80km. After that we went to beach and build our camp and did some barbeque untill 5am. A lot of bacon were consumed.

I think you have to edit the TR name. I happen to know that that particular Norwegian is far from innocent. And considering the win on saturday in the Eurovision song contest no Norwegian is considered innocent until proven a black metal fan.
