Free 977 Equipes
Someone came into the ski shop I work at and wanted to dump off their old straight skis. One of them had these attached, so I pulled them off but I don't see myself using them anytime soon--too many purchases already.
Anyway, they're 14 din all metal goodness, free + ship if needed. The brakes are pretty small and the housing on one of them is pretty shot, but I can include them if you want.

Those are hot!
Just out of curiosity, can you confirm that the toes are metal. Pretty sure the only all metal 14 dins were 957s but it's an ongoing debate. they look plastic but they're not in my hand.
Sweet binders anyhow.
At the least, they're good for the "Spheric to Driver" AFD conversion. There's nothing better than sliding down snow, and flying through the air

Looks like you missed it by three minutes d00d.
Don't think they're indemnified anymore but I could be wrong. There's nothing better than sliding down snow, and flying through the air

damn, glad i decided to pm first, post second. we'll see... I think beat Nat E to them. I need these for some supernobis rock skis. Seems wrong to put $200 binders on $75 skis.

Gone to Nathan, and yeah they're indemnified and metal toe. They feel heavy as hell and are pretty cold to the touch--seems to mean metal to me.

more likely. if they are not the worm screw but instead the tabbed heel someone has probably been messing with them - also only certain graphics came with the composite vs. metal ones. AFAIK the 14 17 and 20 DIN versions of all the 9_7 series bindings were worm screw and all metal.
you are in europe though, i hear they do some pretty crazy shit over there.

Well those are definitely worm screw heels but I beg to differ on all 9_7 series being all metal. I've got two pairs of 14DIN 997 with plastic toes (metal pedestal, plastic housing and wings). Like I said, there's been some debate about this over in the Salomon "All you need to know" thread and the consensus seems to be that the 957s were the only all metal 14 DIN ones.
If that's the case though, it's good to know there are other all metal options out there. You know I'm always looking...There's nothing better than sliding down snow, and flying through the air

Well, both the all-metals and plastic winged versions are worm-screw driver equipes (or rather were... sold the metal-pair and selling the plastic one).
Never even seen a non worm screw driver equipe (997 or 977).
But as pointed out, I'm from Yurp as are ze binders... mebbe solly sold a few all metal 14 997s for smaller racers or something.Originally Posted by RootSkier

Those are plastic toes.
AFAIK, there is no such thing as a 957 and onward, 14 din salomon metal toe. I have never seen one in person, and I have never seen a pic. Those claiming to have them, please post pics!
The metal toe always has a silver aluminum din screw on the race din models (16, 17, 20, etc).
