TR: Wicked Winter (?) Warriors Wreck Windham (AKA Halloween Pow)

After all of the excellent skiing on Wednesday we had to return for some more. With a forecast for sun and 50 degree temps, an early start was needed to get there before the snow turned to mush. A 4:45am pickup in western Mass. delivered us right on time for a Halloween treat.

7:20 AM: Jonathan and I met up with byates1 after convincing him that Windham was actually awesome. Thankfully none of you all took my suggestion to go ski, and all of our tracks remained from two days ago.

Not only was the sun coming out, but the snow had dried a bit more. It was Fast, Fluffy and FUN!

So we lapped the mountain over and over until my feet felt like they were going to fall off and we had tracked most everything out.

    Uhhh, nice boots.

Jonathan notes the splash effect had increased over two days ago.

Perfect weather and perfect snow on Halloween. I would have taken these conditions any day of the year.

This run had the worst cover of the day due to some lumpy earth.... relatively speaking. I hit a rock.

Different ways to enjoy the snow:

byates1 one took off for work and we got in two more runs. Just tracking out some of the last runs before the sun started warming things up. The lower mountain was a bit squidgy and slow, and the 55 degree weather at home felt like 80. What a day.
