Woooof. Thats some pretty valuable insight. I cant say I'm gonna be first in line to buy a 1000 ski w/ foam in it.

I tried their poles back in 7th grade. But because my hand didn't stop vibrating, I immediately switched back to aluminum scotts.
I can't imagine skiing on that shit. It must be painful as all fucking hell.

Yeah, they can fail catastrophically, in unexpected places. I broke my original pair of db Surreals (the original mold for the Goode Vision 95) in a small depression in the snow during a traverse. I found out later that they were from one of their "bad" lots (that eventually put db out of business). Supposedly, so long as they're laid up properly (apparently, carbon fiber is much more tricky to lay up correctly) they should be OK, but you usually don't know you have a bad pair until they fail.
