    New Espace Killy Stoke/Update/TR...

Further to my previous thread on this matter, here is its replacement, this time with pictures of a sensible size.

Summary: these last few weeks in Val/Tignes have been off the hook epic and have provided us with some of the best days we've ever had skiing, anywhere, ever. As our crew is comprised entirely of small children, widespread bickering/crying happens every time conditions are good and the issue of who should take photos arises, hence the lack of action shots that the conditions surely have deserved. Never mind.

Anyway, here's a few alright ones we did manage to take.

Team ramrod assembling early doors on a dump day

    Operation goggle de-fog begins

    Hucking ensues in earnest

The old knee-to-face routine doesn't seem to have dampened spirits

Bluebird! Lines to be pillaged before the punters descend

What is this "turning" you speak of? I'm not familiar with it.

    I think I'm mastering your so-called "turning"!

Everything in sight is pillaged: let's huck!

    Hucking is lame, let's spin!

The landings are bombed- back to the trees!

    Taking the chalet-girls' entrance

Cliffs are overrated and fast become a pissing contest- pillows are more refined...

A mellow run to wrap it up

That's pretty much it. Another huge dump forecast here for tomorrow. Fingers crossed it isn't a meteo-hoax and maybe we'll even mature enough to take some proper photos.

    Cheers.

^Very well sir, here's a few more. Introducing a few more members of the team before, during and after the storm...

    Fun roofdrop/gap

    This is fun too

Our view on snowboarders is liberal and all-inclusive

    = )

The storm clears in time for some more hucking

But not before a few nice lines are pillaged

    The view from the top

    Going

    Gone

    Crazy natural light

And just to lower the tone a little before we get all serious....

    St Paddy's day!

It's all about sliding on snow, one board or two, no matter. Is Val still full of the kind of cunts I went to school with, stuck up fuckheads that think they own the place? I've been 5 times and loved the terrain but you get pretty sick of hearing "YAH YAH YAH" full volume at 7pm.

I liked this one...both previous bomb holes uncovered some teeth, the lad with the newschoolerz lid obviously has some balls. more power to him!

why thank you sir. that would be me!

and yes val is still filled with the aforementioned cunts. perhaps now more so than ever. and yes, i too was at school with most of 'em! there are still some people left who are there for the right reasons, regardless of their backgrounds, but they/we are becoming few and far between. this does of course have its upsides- fewer genuine skiers/boarders to pillage the area's unquestionably epic terrain and subsequently less need to camp out by the lift station in order to catch first lifts on a powder day for fear of a crowd of baying scandies in powder-mode...

do. the terrain hasn't got any less epic. just make sure you time it right- go at new year, mid feb or easter and you may feel as if the bad outweighs the good. early march is always quiet and often is the best bet for pow- same goes for mid-late jan. if you stay for any length of time, there are less cunts in tignes.

in other news, the camera is sick and is at the doctor. more photos to follow on its return to good health i hope.

    cheers.
