Deep in the backcountry (pow pic TR 01-22-08)

Well, all us Utards know that storm dropped some the lightest deepest stuff we've skied this season. Too light to really go huge, but great for turns. Then it went bluebird yesterday (and today ) and stability has been good so we went out for a tour and snapped some powder pics. Thanks to flykdog for showing us around and GT40 for taking pics.

Here are yesterday's pics there will be more pics from today coming over the next few days. I also have tons of helmet cam footage as usual, but it will take awhile to do anything with that.

    flykdog goes deep:

    MOE entering the white room:

    MOE wishing he was home:

MOE, a few years too late to put out the fire:

    MD9 keeping his distance:

    MD9 bobbing and weaving:

    MD9 is lonely:

And I know this breaks format from our usual TR's but I thought I'd go ahead post a couple of pics of GT ripping it up.

    GT with a face full:

    GT with one more frame:

    GT kicks both your ass's!!!!!

go pull some teeth and smell bad breath for the next 20 or so years and then you'll be able to ski with such smoooth, POWerful, plowing, face-shot-taking form as the old (excuse me, i mean young) mang!!!

ha, ha ... GT and the White Beaver sitting below a tree ... k-i-s-s-i-n-g. First comes love, then comes .....

    NICE!!! many really sweet shots.
i vote for "bobbing and weaving".
A great setup using that boulder and rimed tree background.
I can almost feel and taste it!
when not on the snow what else do i do...

Another day in Utah with perfect snow, perfect weather, and no other tracks in the pictures.....Utah sucks, again, and again.

    Good stuff!
