The instant download function has saved me from having to sit through chick filcks several times. I love this service. Let's make a list of the best titiles available so we don't have to browse so long. I'll start:
- A River Runs Through It, about Montana fly fishing and brothers
- Power of One, about apartheid
- No Reservations, the Anthony Bourdain TV show
- This American Life, the radio show becomes a tv show, seasons 1 and 2
- The Great Outdoors, John Candy and Dan Ackroyd hilarity

I've been tearing through Dexter lately. I find it hard to watch just one episode. Speaking of which, why am dicking around here...
I'm definitely going to start in on No Reservations next.
Great thread, BTW.If you've never seen an elephant ski, you've never been on acid.

I appreciate this thread.
The Van Halen Story: The Early Years - good if you like VH, but kind of funny b/c they couldn't use any of their music in it.
LoudQUIETloud: A Film About the Pixies
Notorious BIG: Bigger Than Life

Every season of Lost is available. Vacation, Euro Vacation, etc. Lots of good BBC documentaries (Attenborough, Michael Palin). Lots of good old war movies.

If you are into crazy movies this one doesn't disappoint. 3 directors direct 3 different parts of the movie. Michel Gondry, Leos Carax and Bong Joon-ho

TOKYO! was whack. I liked it.
Have none of you noticed that Steep is available for instant download on Netflix?
I boiled my thermometer, and sure enough, this spot, which purported to be two thousand feet higher than the locality of the hotel, turned out to be nine thousand feet LOWER. Thus the fact was clearly demonstrated that, ABOVE A CERTAIN POINT, THE HIGHER A POINT SEEMS TO BE, THE LOWER IT ACTUALLY IS. Our ascent itself was a great achievement, but this contribution to science was an inconceivably greater matter.

There are movies they put on and take off the instant watch list. No country for old men used to be on there too but no longer. Steep was, but no longer.
