Our First Trip To Moab
Since the skiing here bites now and is almost finished, last week a group of us from up here in Fernie loaded up our bikes and headed south to Moab. It was a great trip, cool town, great people, beer etc. But most of all the rides we did rocked! It was the first time there for all of us, but we've all agreed that it won't be our last.
Here are a few pics.
This is the crew on Slickrock on our first day.
This is me somewhere on Slickrock.
This is Al grinding his way up one many climbs on the
slickrock trail.
This is along the Porcupine Rim trail...watch that next step Al, it's a big 'un!!
Al doing a small drop on Porc. Rim.
Here is George on the same trail.
This is me catching a little air.
Harvey negotiating a drop on Porcupine Rim.
Here is my wife on the same trail.
Here I am getting near the end of Porcupine Rim, one of the more technical spots.
Moab is a great place to get a start on the up and coming mt. bike season which is probably still a month away here. I look forward to April next year to do it again.
Cheers!!!You don't need freerides when you got freeheels

Nice. Sorry Ice, it's all I could think of.
Remind me. We'll send him a red cap and a Speedo.

Cool! We never remember to pull the camera out...
"Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, "Wow, what a Ride!"

Moab is very cool. Great Pics!! Very well composed and good action.
Moab's good in the late fall too.I want a 6" travel 20lb MTB. I found the 20lb MTB, but only good for riders under 87 pounds.
