sale 183 Bro Softs, 1.25 duke mounts, 9.75/10, Look P18 binders

Skied three days, found them a little long and stiff for touring, so considering sale. These are Swiss flavored Bros and have a smooth, round, and rather stiff flex. Relevant facts:

    1. 183 bro softs, purchased new (not blems)
    2. 3 days skiing, all in superbe, soft snow. Bases and edges are almost like new.
    3. 1 chip on the tip of one ski. Otherwise nearly intact
    4. Mounted once for Marker Duke at 303mm BSL. Holes are in awesome shape and are definitely re-usable.
    5. Accidentally drilled 3 toe piece holes in the wrong location on one ski. Holes filled with 24-hour epoxy, not wood glue. See pic.
    7. $425 shipped via UPS ground in lower 48, or $400 cash for a local sale. Price are firm. Might also consider trading for some BD verdicts, skis with rocker in 175-185cm and cash depending on trade. I think this is fair for good condition, nearly new, non-blem Bros.

and with a Duke template, to show the location of the three mistakenly-drilled holes:

Skis have been hand-waxed, scraped, and polished. They are ready to rock!

Will take $500 cash for local sale of bros. I can also include nearly new Look P10 bindings for $10 (to cover shipping).

Isn't $500 about what you can get them for from PM Gear right now?

I think my pricing is reasonable and is in accordance with the sale guidline sticky thread. PMgear is out of 183s and demo/blem 183s have sold for not much less than I am asking.

Please don't bother posting if you think this is not a good deal. In light of recent increases in AK-made bro prices, I think my price is quite fair. Bump!

What are you looking for in a trade? I have some used, but nice, 188 Stockli Stormrider SS drilled 1X for P18 @ 305, and new 178 Dynastar Legend 8000.

schinderpiste, stormriders are tempting but I'm saving up for a trip to the Alps.

spthomson, the bro price did indeed go up, thanks for catching that. The flex is definitely not "soft," and these are definitely for skiers who like speed and ski aggressively.

The skis are currently in the Seattle area, but I make frequent trips to the CO front range. I'll also be driving from the latter to the former via SLC and Boise in early November.

Almost October bump. Will take no less than $450 cash (pick up in Seattle or Denver area) or $475 shipped.

I am interested but the price seems high IMHO. basically, the skis were drilled twice. Per Marshalolsen's pricing thread, $300 is closer to it. let me know if you're interested in that.

Idahoerippin, sorry but no trades as stated

$300 is too low and as I see it, Marshalolsen's thread is only a guideline. These sticks don't turn up all that often used and in excellent condition, and when they do, the price is right in this ballpark. If you want to round up, we can say that these were mounted 1.5 times, but I wouldn't say that they have been mounted twice. If one was to mount small Dukes, no extra holes would have to be drilled and $475 would be a damn good price.

I'll have to wait it out

    Hi Critical,

I respect your opinion and just posted a WTB so let's see what the mangs offer up. If you decide you want to move the price, please feel free to ping me, but I can't spend over $450 on 1.5 times drilled skis when similar rides can be had for considerably less I think. Good luck and have a great season.

It is only a guideline, not an exact rule. But if you want to follow it to the "t" -
    $769 is current price ($739 + $30 for ship)
    50% of that is $385
Add 30% for rare/highly sought after ski - these babies sold out QUICKLY last year - smaller batch yet available this year. Aldo makes these with highest quality materials/construction practices. You don't see them FS often... $500
    Less 10% for the 1 mount = $450
    Less 5% for the 1/2 mount = $430
Again - it's only a guide. So, with that in mind, his price is certainly in range.

No worries, I am usually more open to price negotiations, but I'd like to get as much as possible for these skis.

spthompson, thanks for doing the math, that pretty much sums up the rationale behind my pricing

I hate seeing these sitting around, so $425 cash or $450 shipped. I might also be interested in trading for some 180 BD verdicts + cash (depending on condition).
