Ruth Gorge Don Sheldon Mountain House March 15-21. Yes it will be cold. Yes you can huck youself off a 5 thousand foot cliff if you want. Do you know much? I do not care. How much?? About $1500 + booze and train wreck. Looking for skiers, boarders, mountaineers and climbers. It is a bit of work to get around. A few (3 or 4) spots left.

You might want to try and be a little more vague.

BTW, wasn't Don Sheldon a bush pilot in AK and author of an amazing book?

FLight from salt lake $650, Hop into the Ruth $450. Hut rent $837 for the week split 6-8 ways (One guy already bagged on me an pitched his hundred bucks to the cause). The Hut sleeps six, but people typically bring tents to sleep and leave the the hut for drinkin, foodin, etc. I like the idea og eaght-lot of parties of 2 or 3 out of eight. MT Dicky right behind the hut is a decent bag-several other peaks and techical climbs (Mooses Tooth) are around. I have been in the gorge skiing for a week. There is good skiing but there is some travel to get to it.

Hmmm I'm interested need to wait for my partner in crime to get back from the Wrangells to decide.

That time of year has about 10.5 hours of true daylight and damn it is going to be cold. Like -40 cold. But the northern lights should be nice

Mostly I would think about -15 to -20, hopefully a quick storm to heat things up...get it to windy and zero. I have noticed snow does not like skins at those real low temps. But....good riding, damn it. Hope fully a cooperative snow pack as well...it is a crap shoot at this date.
