Headed over to Pinkham Notch early, and barely managed to score a parking place. The place was mobbed. Skinned up to HoJos in 70 minutes. Crowds everywhere. Continued skinning up to Right Gully, and then cut over to plodding up the staircase.
Lots of women doing stylish descents; a guy locking up with all new gear and a full pack.
Skinned over to Left Gully. Man the drop in looks pretty scary from above, but a couple girls insisted that it was only a 12 inch drop. Right, a 12 in crack in the snow and a 5 foot drop. Cruised down Left Gully and stopped for some photos. Tons of people hiking up.
Headed over to the Lip and booted up. Skied down. Tried to stop to get some photos, and fell over from the stop (!). Self arrested pronto with my skis (30' later). Bagged the photo op and continued down.
Booted up the Chute. Ran out of water and was totally parched. Too dry and too steep. Wimped out and did another run on the Lip.
Perhaps 500-600 people were up in the Ravine, and some were skiing lines that rarely come into shape.

What day were you there?
Lookin' good (the skiing, not the beards).
